This design involves creating a wine bar in the Vinohrady District of Prague. The wine bar is located in a cellar of an old, beautiful residential building and is designed in a modern, industrial style that highlights the character of the place.
The space itself is fairly distinctive, primarily due to the brick cladding on the walls, the vaulted ceiling, and the dim atmosphere. In our design, we have sought to preserve these characteristics and complement them in an appropriate manner. We work with materials such as stone, dark metal, natural oak wood, and cream-colored paint. The dominant feature of the space is an unconventional display case for wine bottles created from a wire mesh attached to the front wall. Wine bottles are placed in individual mesh compartments, forming a geometric pattern and creating a play of light through LED strips. In front of the front wall stands a long solid wooded table that can accommodate a group of eight. In the middle of the oblong room stands a long bar clad in slate-like stone, the same shade and decor is repeated in the flooring tiles. The furniture is mostly made in dark colours combined with wood. The overall design should create a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere to allow for the wine itself to stand out.
